Eir has achieved both a bachelors and a masters degree in Video Games Design, and is keenly interested in all aspects of video games.
Her background has given her a wide collection of T-Skills: An understanding of code, some experience in art, enjoyment in film-making, some training in game production, a hobby in voice acting, and a specialisation in design.

 

Her passion for video games has enabled her to explore Film Making via machinima, Voice Acting via mods, Radio Presenting via news and music, Community Management via PCGamer, and Esports via ESL.

ALEx

While the world’s eyes turn to the stars and plan to go there, there are those who were thrown aside. Explore this little slice of no where, a place where the abandoned and hopeless have come together to try and get on with their lives.

ALEx is a video game short story, a game created to build a framework for future projects. It is a cinematic interactive ficiton game for PC and Mobile, in full 3D with explorable worlds.

Love Island The Game - Fusebox Games

Design your character, choose who you date, and see the game respond to your choices. Join the cast of Love Island and get ready to start your summer love story!

Role - Junior Game Designer

At Fusebox, I was hired as a Junior Game Designer to work on Love Island The Game Season 4 and Chelsea’s Murder Mystery.

Responsibilities:

  • Tech Pass – Importing and Setting Up episodes
  • Cinematic Pass – Making the episode feel good
  • Work with ChilliConnect for database functionality
  • Implementing a new Wardrobe System
  • Using existing limitations to create new content
  • Helping with design perspective for future tools

XR Games: Under NDA

Lockhouse: Fabrication of puzzle elements (3D printing, CNC machined Signs, electromechanical devices)

PM Screen Group: Creating several game designs to be pitched to a shopping mall. Would be installed in an art installation for walk up play.

 

Panda Palate - Mobile Platformer

Panda Palate is a single screen platformer, in which you guide your Red Panda friend across ten levels, attempting to locate fresh ingredients in new locations

Role - Second Designer

Many aspects of the game which i worked on were cut due to time constraints.

Arcane Tails - VR Arena Brawler (Cancelled)

When a spell gone wrong causes all to become somewhat inflated, and only a single dose of the cure remains, what would you do?

Arcane Tails is a virtual reality physics brawler, make sure you’re the last player standing by punting all other players off the arena.

Echos - Playstation Adventure

ECHOES is a 3D action-exploration game in which you must go on a journey to unravel your origins.
Explore the ruins of a mysterious frozen land, smash crystalline enemies and blockades, unlock new abilities and access stunning new locations.

Role - Game Designer

This was a Playstation First production with Sony as the client. They decided not to take it further.

ELA - PC adventure game

Thrown from the top of the Tower, you have no option but to climb. For Revenge? For Repentance? Or for the sheer bloody mindedness of it? Your choices will shape your journey.

ELA is a vertical slice, created over 7 weeks using Unreal Engine 4. The production has now moved into development of an Episodic adventure game, in which the player climbs each level of the Tower.

Role - Sole Developer

Key Aspects worked on:

  • Blueprint.
  • Camera.
  • Writing.
  • Design.

GMTK 2019 - Generations

48 hours to create a game with the theme “Only One”

There is Only One Monster chasing you down, across the generations

There is Only One Level, persistent as each generation makes their attempt at freedom.

There is Only One Input, as you will only need your mouse.

GMTK 2020 - Spy Master

48 hours to create a game with the theme “Out Of Control”

My interpretation was that you were the “Spy Master”, and you work from “Spy Control” and send agents on missions.

Primary objective of the Jam was to learn how to pass and store data within entities. Each “Spy” knows what you gave them, and that factors into success rate when they come back.

GMTK 2021 - The Kingdom Way (Incomplete)

48 hours to create a game with the theme “Joined Together”

Originally started as a 5 person project, eventually worked solo. Primary Goal was to learn Unity Visual Scripting. Didn’t have time to learn how to pass data between objects. 
In the end, annotated game design and made the level playable online.

Concept was to join your kingdom with a distant one through various alliances.

Epic Megajam 19 - Invasion With Style

With a theme of “Down To Earth” and

The cats who sit in their space station, experimenting on Catnipium, have just been hit by an asteroid, and now both meteors and Canipium are plumeting to earth!

Don’t worry, using their mega space canon, the cats can race down to earth!
